The Wunda Chair was originally designed by Joseph Pilates. The archival models, which were portable and had a small footprint, could be flipped over to become an armchair that would have looked right at home in a mid-century living room. Later versions of the chair included a split-pedal that provided additional resistance options. For balance in standing exercises, detachable handles on the sides can be used (as seen in another piece of studio apparatus, the High Chair). The Wunda Chair, then as now, provides a challenging, varied workout in a small amount of space. Because of the limited spring settings, you can get an efficient, full-body workout in a short amount of time.
